A person who has lost their sight needs high-quality rehabilitation, which, unfortunately, our state cannot provide today. Thanks to our partners, the “Modern View” public organization, which includes qualified rehabilitation specialists and other specialists, we are able to provide high-quality rehabilitation and improve the quality of life of people with profound impairment or loss of vision. Rehabilitation camps are divided into several stages of varying complexity. Qualified psychological support and work with physiotherapists. Stabilize the patient’s emotional and physical state. Thanks to classes with occupational therapists and spatial orientation trainers, a person gains complete independence, which helps them at home and on the street. After learning to use assistive technologies, not only does it become possible to use gadgets such as a smartphone and a computer again, but the level of quality of life and independence increases on a daily basis. There is a list of tools that are considered indispensable assistants in everyday life that increase a person’s independence. These are things like a white cane, various tips, a fluid sensor, and devices with voice guidance (scales, blood pressure monitors, thermometers, glucometers, etc.). Some of these technologies are provided by the state, but they do not meet the required quality and technical requirements requirements for convenient use.
