🌷 March 8 — a Day to Speak About Women’s Strength — COMPLETED
This year, this day is especially meaningful for us. For the first time in our community, there is a girl who lost her vision during military service.
▪️ Her name is Veronika.
She was only 19 when she decided to serve. At first, she volunteered, and later joined the Territorial Defense Forces (TDF) She was awarded the rank of senior soldier.
Constant stress, exhaustion, and the demands of service began to affect her health. At first, her vision started to deteriorate — she developed myopia. Then glaucoma appeared.
Later, doctors diagnosed optic nerve atrophy.
It was during her service that Veronika lost her sight.
Now she needs rehabilitation, adaptation to a new life, and support.
That is why we are opening a fundraising campaign to support Veronika’s recovery and rehabilitation.
▪️ If you were planning to buy flowers this March 8 —
perhaps this time you could choose support that truly matters.
Every contribution is another step toward ensuring that Veronika does not walk this path alone.
We are with you, Veronika.
Transfer of Assistive Technologies to Veterans with Vision Loss
Together with @letsseethevictory
we delivered another batch of assistive technologies for our veterans who have lost their vision.
These are not just gadgets.
They are essential tools that truly improve and ease their everyday lives 🫂
We are deeply grateful to our partners in the United States for their support!
Assistive Technologies That Change Everyday Life
Sometimes support is not about loud words or big events.
It is about simple things that make everyday life a little easier.
We have received assistive devices for blind people from our partners in the United States — and we want to pass them on to those who truly need them.
A white cane, blood pressure monitors, scales, a liquid level indicator — tools that help people become more independent every day.
If this is relevant for you or your loved ones, just write to us in direct messages. We are here and ready to help!
We are deeply grateful to our partners for their trust, support, and for making it possible to help together.

Cornea Fundraiser — COMPLETED
Light can be lost in a second.
But it can only be restored together
After a severe injury, serviceman Vitalii is at risk of losing his vision completely.
The only remaining eye requires a corneal transplant.
This is a complex surgery, but it can preserve his ability to see the world, the people around him, and his future.
We opened a fundraising campaign for his treatment.
🎯 UAH 52,580 — an amount that can save his sight.
Support us with a donation or by sharing this post.
Light depends on those who care 🤍
3 YEARS – HUNDREDS OF GOOD DEEDS
January 24 is a special date for the “Let's See The Victory” Charity Foundation. This is the day our story began three years ago.
Three years is only the beginning. Together, we can achieve much more!
Over the past three years we have:
- • Paid for the production of 181 ocular prostheses;
- • Conducted dozens of educational and training sessions;
- • Provided 40 keratobioimplants;
- • Co-financed 5 rehabilitation camps for blind veterans;
• Organized training for people with disabilities, supplied blind veterans with white canes and assistive technologies, delivered gifts and support initiatives for our defenders.
We have many people to thank:
- To Anna Purtova for creating a space where ideas are born and good initiatives become reality;
- To the NGO “Modern View” for the opportunity to do good together;
- To numerous partners for their consistent support and trust;
- And to every person who joins our fundraising efforts, shares information, and chooses not to stand aside.
Cooperation with A-Bank
Thanks to the support of A-Bank and caring individuals, we were able to raise UAH 300,000 in charitable funds.
With this funding, we purchased 20 cosmetic eye prostheses for veterans with complete vision loss.
Every contribution represents real assistance and a step toward restoring the quality of life of our defenders.
We sincerely thank A-Bank for their trust and support.
Educational Meeting for the Ukrainian Team of Santen OY
Recently, we held an educational meeting for the Ukrainian team of Santen OY, dedicated to the topic of veterans who have lost their vision.
We spoke about what often remains “behind the scenes” in medicine — the real life after vision loss.
About how combat-related eye injuries change not only a person’s physical condition, but their entire life: daily routines, emotions, relationships, and their sense of place in society. We discussed the journey of acceptance, adaptation, and finding new support systems.
Special attention was given to the psychological state of blind veterans and the importance of seeing not just a diagnosis in a patient, but a person with experience, pain, and strength.
It was important for us to share practical experience and explain why work in ophthalmology is not only about treating eyes, but also about quality of life after vision loss.
We sincerely thank the entire Santen OY team for their willingness to better understand the needs of veterans who have lost their sight. Real change begins with this kind of understanding.
