We have received grant support from Ucare to implement an important project for us — the creation of 50 tactile toys and rehabilitation tools for veterans and civilians who have lost their sight as a result of the war.

For a person who has lost their sight, adapting to a new way of life is about more than just physical rehabilitation. It is also important to restore tactile perception, fine motor skills, and cognitive abilities, support interaction with others, and gradually rebuild confidence in everyday life.

That is why we will be creating tactile games and tools that can be used during rehabilitation, in sessions with specialists, or independently.

A key feature of the project is that the models we develop will be made available in an open format. This will make it possible in the future to produce these tools using accessible 3D printers in different cities across Ukraine.

And now, we are beginning work on the first 50 products.
Ahead of us are the stages of development, 3D printing, testing, and improving each toy.

📌 On August 31, 2026, we held the first strategic session dedicated to developing the 2026–2027 Fundraising Plan for the “Pobachymo Peremohu” Charitable Foundation.
This is an important step toward strengthening our organization’s capacity, ensuring a more systematic approach to resource mobilization, and planning our future development.
The Fundraising Plan of the “Pobachymo Peremohu” Charitable Foundation will be developed through a three-day facilitated online session and 10 hours of consultations for members of the organization.
🤝 The trainer and facilitator of the session is Olha Luhova, an independent consultant and entrepreneur.
The event is being held as part of the project “A Strong Ukrainian Civil Society — A Driving Force for Reform and Democracy,” administered by ISAR Ednannia and funded by Norway and Sweden.
Ahead of us is collaborative work, strategic decision-making, and the development of a clear vision for our fundraising priorities for 2026–2027. 💙💛

As part of the “YOU CAN DO IT” project, we held the first group session for blind veterans and their loved ones.
This time, we talked about stress — what happens to our bodies in stressful situations, what physiological reactions we may experience, and which techniques can help us manage tension and regain a sense of calm.
Importantly, the session was attended not only by veterans, but also by their support persons — family members and loved ones

For us, “YOU CAN DO IT” is about more than individual sessions. It is about support, new knowledge, communication, and gradually returning to an active life after vision loss.

The “YOU CAN DO IT” project is implemented by the “Let's see the Victory” Charitable Organization as part of the National Human Capital Development Programme, with the support of the Poroshenko Foundation.

When someone reaches out for psychological support, the most important thing is knowing that they will be understood.

That is why the psychological sessions within the “YOU CAN DO IT” project will be led by Oleksandra Nikolaieva — a physician-psychologist and psychiatrist specializing in combat trauma and rehabilitation.

She has been working with service members and veterans for more than 10 years, and for the past 3 years, she has also been supporting people who have lost their sight or live with visual impairments.

In her work, Oleksandra uses evidence-based psychological support methods. She has experience working as a psychologist within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and holds certification from the Israel Trauma Coalition, one of the world’s leading organizations specializing in combat trauma.

Ruslan Kozachok, a veteran who lost his sight as a result of the war, will also be part of the project. He will join the team as a psychologist’s assistant, helping create an atmosphere of trust and support among participants.

The project is implemented by the “Let's see the Victory” Charitable Foundation with the support of the Poroshenko Foundation.

In the spring of 2025, while defending Ukraine, Hryhorii sustained a severe injury and lost his sight due to trauma to both eyes.

Ahead of him is a corneal transplant that could partially restore his ability to see. However, the surgery requires an individual keratobioimplant.

After his injury, Hryhorii went through a difficult course of treatment, numerous examinations, and consultations. Today, doctors are giving him a chance to regain his vision.

Thanks to the support of caring people, we have already managed to raise part of the required amount. UAH 34,120 remains to reach our goal.

Recently, we visited Illia at the hospital. He is 25.

He lost one eye and both hands. He is currently undergoing treatment after a stroke. Ahead of him are preparations for prosthetics and a long road to recovery.

But he is alive. And that is already a victory.

Together with Anna Purtova, we came not empty-handed — we brought some treats and a little taste of summer in the form of strawberries. Anna is taking care of all the legal support to make sure that one of the most important fronts — the paperwork — is taken care of.

Illia has a difficult road ahead, but we will walk it together. ❤️
