A Holiday Made Possible Thanks to You 🎄💛
A Holiday Made Possible Thanks to You 🎄💛
50 veterans received holiday gifts.
For some, it was a pleasant surprise; for others, a warm gesture of care; and for many, a reminder that they are not forgotten.
Together with the NGO “Modern View", it was important for us not only to deliver gifts, but to create a sense of celebration, support, and human warmth.
All of this became possible thanks to you.
Thanks to the people who joined our holiday fundraising raffle, supported us, believed in us, and chose to stand with us. Every hryvnia turned into care, every contribution into real emotions and smiles of our defenders 🤍
For veterans, moments like these carry special value. They restore a sense of trust in the world and remind them that their journey has not gone unnoticed.
We sincerely thank everyone who became part of this initiative.
Together, we can create small celebrations that truly carry great meaning 💛💙
Educational Session for All Together Jobs
We held an educational session for All Together Jobs.
We discussed the employment of blind veterans: the challenges they face, the conditions that truly matter, and how to make work processes more accessible and understandable.
We shared our experience of working with blind veterans, practical case studies, and what genuinely helps to support people after the war—not just in words, but in action.
For us, this is about equal opportunities, respect, and real steps toward an inclusive labor market in Ukraine.
We sincerely thank All Together Jobs for their openness to dialogue and their commitment to changing the approach to employment 💙

We also plan to shift our advocacy focus to other procedures that are still not covered, such as retinal treatments.
🤍 We have launched an active fundraiser for white canes to provide high-quality mobility aids for people with visual impairments.

A Victory Worth Knowing About
If you ask, “Is all medical care free for our military?” most people will answer, “Yes, of course—it’s guaranteed by law.” But only those who have encountered so-called “free healthcare” in practice know that things are not always perfect, and that the National Health Service package has its limitations.
This story began in the spring of 2023, when “We Will See Victory” first faced the need to raise funds for biomaterials to restore vision. At that moment, we asked ourselves: why does one of the most critical procedures—corneal transplantation—require additional funding? As finding an answer took time, we chose to act.
Understanding the system, identifying the flaw, and fixing it at the state level is not a task for a month—or, as it turned out, even a year. But corneas that could restore sight to injured soldiers with blast-related eye trauma were needed immediately. That is why we launched an ongoing fundraiser to respond quickly and cover urgent needs.
We could have waited: first to find a beneficiary, then launch an individual fundraiser, order the material, verify it, and only then perform the surgery. But it’s hard to imagine what it means to lose vision fully or partially—and to wait every single day for the moment you can see light again.
For two years, we have been raising awareness, bringing volunteers together, engaging businesses, and—without unnecessary bureaucracy—meeting the urgent need for corneal transplants. Thanks to our experience and the support of the Ophthalmology Department of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 1 (headed by Nataliia Veselovska), we have:
✅ performed 27 surgeries;
✅ procured 31 corneas worth UAH 1.5 million.
But our greatest achievement is not in the numbers.
From the very first days this issue arose, it was taken up at the state level by Member of Parliament Hanna Purtova. Countless documents, draft laws, conferences, and negotiations with the Ministry of Health—this process lasted for months. It is difficult to fully grasp how much effort and time it required, but the result is clear: 🚀 From now on, the state fully funds corneal transplantation, including the biomaterial.
Our team is pleased to announce that we are closing the final fundraiser for the last cornea that was not covered by the National Health Service of Ukraine. Starting this month, the system should function as intended. We hope we will never have to return to this issue again—because many other challenges still lie ahead.
We are grateful to everyone who stood with us:
—to those who donated, shared, and supported;
—to the ophthalmologists of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 1 for their professionalism;
—to Anna Purtova for resolving this issue at the national level.
The cornea fundraiser is now closed. The issue has been resolved. Moving forward! 🇺🇦
This month, we received our first grant from the Renaissance Foundation for organizational development.
The “Let's See The Victory" Charity Foundation is reaching a new level. This month, we received our first grant from the Renaissance Foundation for organizational development
This is our first experience with grant funding aimed at expanding the Foundation’s activities. Recently, we have grown our team by hiring three veterans with complete vision loss and launched four new projects. All of this requires additional resources and training.
Thanks to the funding received, we have already begun:
- renovation work in the new office space of the “Let's See The Victory” Charity Foundation, provided by the veteran hub Port UA. The work is focused on creating an accessible environment for people with disabilities;
- updating our official website, which will be adapted to meet the needs of people with visual impairments and blindness.
- A training program for new team members was prepared in advance. We have already started training new specialists who will create digital content to attract funding and build new partnerships as part of the Foundation’s activities.
- Financial support for administrative needs has been approved for a period of three months, allowing us to increase our productivity and expand the amount of assistance provided to our beneficiaries.
We sincerely thank you for your trust and significant support. We look forward to a pleasant and long-term partnership. Together with the Renaissance Foundation, we will definitely see victory.
